Salak Jam: New Menu DewiKadjar


Salak is one of the flagship products of Sleman. According to some lovers of this fruits, Sleman is a producer barking with the most delicious flavor. Not all Sleman, because salak mostly in northern Sleman (stretching from the subdistrict Tempel, Turi, Pakem and Cangkringan) – and Turi is producing the most delicious salak among the four sub-districts.

Seeing these conditions, KKN PPM UGM team who were in hamlets Kelor – Ngumbul (our hamlets consisting of two hamlets) implement product processing salak program. The program received a positive response from the citizens – it appears that the program was implemented several times (at the request of citizens). Buah salak merupakan salah satu produk unggulan Kabupaten Sleman. Menurut beberapa penikmat buah salak, Sleman merupakan penghasil salak dengan rasa terlezat. Tidak seluruh Sleman, karena salak kebanyakan berada di Sleman utara (terhampar dari kecamatan Tempel, Turi, Pakem dan Cangkringan) – dan Turi adalah penghasil salak yang paling enak diantara keempat kecamatan tersebut.

Namun, pasca erupsi merapi merupakan hari-hari tidak menentu bagi sebagian besar petani salak. Bagaimana tidak, harga yang bagus menjelang lebaran 2011 kali ini tidak dibarengi dengan ketersediaan produk yang mencukupi. Selain faktor alam yang masih dalam tahap recovery, supply salak dari daerah lain turut mengacaukan harga.

Melihat kondisi tersebut, tim KKN PPM UGM yang berada di padukuhan Kelor – Ngumbul (padukuhan kami terdiri atas 2 dusun) melaksanakan program pengolahan produk salak. Program tersebut mendapat sambutan positif dari warga – terlihat bahwa program tersebut dilaksanakan beberapa kali (atas permintaan warga). Bagi yang berminat, kami sediakan menu baru tersebut … selai salak … rasakan sensasinya di Kampoeng Sedjarah Kelor …..
